    GALAPAGOS ISLANDS NATURAL PARADISE

The Galapagos Islands are located in the Pacific Ocean some 1000 km off the Ecuadorian coast. 
Galapagos islands in the archipelago are the most spectacular and unique islands on the face of the earth and lie approximately 970km to the west of the Ecuadorian Pacific coastline.

The Galapagos were declared a national park in 1959, protecting 97.5% of the land area of ​​the archipelago. 
ENDEMIC  SPECIES
 
Among the animals found are the different species of giant ‘Galapagos’ tortoises that gave the islands their name due to the similarity of their carapaces to a British riding saddle called ‘galapago’ in Spanish. A variety of birds are found: blue footed,red footed and masked boobies, frigate birds, albatrosses, flamingos, unique penguins and non-flying cormorants, and 14 different species of finches.
